Anyone have any experience with these? They look like they'll eat pretty much anything else in the tank, but was wondering if you guys had some real-world experience.

Thanks!

I think you answered your own question regarding tankmates. If you are willing to have them in a species only type reef, I think they'd be beautiful. Optimum Aquarium had an Oceanic 30 cube setup next to their register with a couple anglers in it. It was nice. They don't eat corals, but I'd fear for fish and shrimps in the same tank. Maybe small stuff like blue legs and snails would be fine.

Yeah, I was just wondering about my next tank. I may end up keeping one of these when I turn my 20L into a frag tank. They're really cool, but I don't have the space for them at the moment, unless I want to get rid of all my current inhabitants. Thanks for the feedback, I guess I did answer my own question.

Not only will they eat anything moving, but will try to eat things sometimes 3X larger than themselves, usually killing both the prey and themselves in the process. DEFINITE species tank.

Wow! Thanks for the advice!

No pun intended.

Yeah, I guess I'll have to look at doing a species only tank. Darn ;)

Uh....theyre not venomous. Where did you get this info?

I thought there was one or two that were able to sting like lionfish.
