Hey, Im thinking should I go for a anemone or not? I just dont want it to damage my coral, so if I do get one i wouldnt get one that moves a lot.
any suggestions?

If you figure out one that does move a lot let me know. O have two that travel all over the tank. I want to know how to make my powerheads nem proof.

Yes, I have had a bubble tip anemone that was everywhere. They make foam covers for mp drivers, im sure they would sell something similar for Koralias etc. I was thinking of a Carpet anemone.

Don't get a carpet anemone if you want to keep just about anything else alive in your tank. There was a recent article about them in one of my fish magazines, though I can't remember at this point which magazine it was. Let me paraphrase what I read:

By and large, carpet 'nems get HUGE, need VERY specific tank and lighting conditions, have a VERY potent sting, and are VERY sticky and aggressive. You could keep anemone shrimp, clownfish, and possibly damsels in a tank with a carpet 'nem, but just about any other livestock could turn into anemone food if it got too close.

Well thanks a lot, time do think of another type. Any other suggestions? Im thinking about staying away from them. ha

How long has your tank been set up? They need a pretty stable tank, which generally means one that's been active and running for several months.

Not sure, yeah I had a BTA. It was all over the place so I gave it to my friend though.

Try a piece of nylon stocking over your powerheads - tie it at the base. Water can still flow through it and be moved by the powerhead, but the 'nem can't get into the moving parts. Read that somewhere...here on the forum, I think!

I believe the most commonly kept 'nems in the hobby are BTAs and condylactis anemones. Condies move around too, though. There's also the sebae 'nems, but I haven't read as much about them, sorry.

I think im gonna go with her suggestion and go for a elegance coral instead.
Thank you
