Hey guys, I just ordered (2) MP10w ES and I plan on putting them one on each side of my 60 cube with a k4 on the back wall. I plan to do an SPS dominate tank with a few fish. Now I know that SPS love flow and all, so I plan to have the MP10 somewhere above midpoint of my tank. That should keep most of the strong current away from the sand bed where I'll have all my polys and what not. That takes care of the coral part. Now what about my fish?

I ordered a pair of premium snowflake clowns. I also plan on having a pair of Anthias and a pair of purple firefish. Will the strong current I set for my SPS be too much for my little friends? Or does it not affect them as it does coral.

Thanks for any advise.

My fish seem to LOVE my MP40Ws. I've never kept a firefish, and they are pretty quiet, so they may avoid the high current areas... but I wouldn't think it would be too much.

I am going to do that same thing (only with 2 1400s) on my 210, but I'm going to use the 1400s on the wavemaker function of my controller to keep everything random (as well as turn them off at night so the fish can get some quiet time).

Thanks bro. that put me at ease a little. I plan on doing the same thing with my 1400's as well (k4 evo). I'll hook it up to my reef keeper 2 and use the wavemaker function on that. I really like the purple firefish and I no that they are a little shy, so I hope the flow doesn't bother them as much.

I wondered about the same thing, but my smaller fish (PJ and Bangaii Cardinals) don't seem bothered at all, and the stronger fish, like tangs, surf the current and can hover right in front of the wetsides and graze algae on the grilles.
