if I just scrape it off with a razor (this is a base rock gsp batch that just took off one day), whats the likely hood it'll root elsewhere? also, will dying coral (scraped gsp residue as its impossible for me to just peal off like I'd like to be able to) in the water column cause problems?

this is a 14g tank btw if that affects the answer to either question.

Try remove the rock or peal it away. Kawk paste will kill it too. I just mixed it up kawk powder with rodi water until its almost tooth paste consistency .Id do just a little at a time.

Its the rock under everything. A lot of corals on joints and such too so removing the rock would mean an almost complete makeover and I'm just not willing to do that at the moment. I'd just as soon let the gsp win or move possible victim corals. lol

I don't mind scraping it as long as that isnt bad for the system.

In my experience, it only slowly spreads outward. It doesn't spore out where it can pop up in unexpected spots. I had to remove all rocks with it, as I couldn't kill it otherwise.

It was so prolific in my tank that it would actually grow upward, away from the rock, into 'thin air'.
