another tang question......

so i have a small....say 2" sailfin tang in my tank.....just wondering if i was to get a small vlamingii.....anyone think they would have any problems?.....i wouldnt think they would since they are a different genus....i mean as long as they are generally the same size....i have a fairly small tank in contrast to a few of you....58G should be ok ?

I believe a good rule of thumb for tangs is a 6ft tank. There are plenty other fish to choose from though. Don't get discouraged.

There are other tangs, a Kole, or Tomini, that might do okay, though.

Yeah I was in between a vlamingii and a Kole initially......maybe I'll see if I can find a small Kole

Liveaquaria say the kole can be kept in a 70gallon where the vlamingi they suggest a 180gallon. They are cool to have (i have one) but they do need a larger tank.
