Any expirence with these LED's

Says not for use around saltwater but I think mounted to the canopy they would be fine.

I bought one of those about a year ago. They were great and did a good job but the only problem was the end with the exposed wiring. I got shock a couple of time touching it. I think it a defect on that single one.

I believe it's not designed for salt due to corrosive nature of saltwater. Could be wrong.

This! I was just over at a friends place with a DIY LED setup and the whole panel board was completely corroded.

How far away was the strip from the water?

Typical distance of a normal fixture. Eventually the salt creep or splash will cover the actual led's and cause less light output.
