Any idea what kind of worm this is?

I'm assuming it's a worm. I saw it tonight while looking at the tank with the lights off. It was stretched out about 5 or 6 inches coming out of a piece of rock. It has a mouth at the end and was eating off of the rock. You could see the things it was eating traveling down it's body. Pretty crazy! Any need to worry about it?

You think it is a Eunicid worm Smoothie? The only reason I question is because I don't see any quills or legs or anything. It's very smoother all the way around. It just has like an opening at the end of it where it was eating crap on the rocks.

I have the same thing.... smooth, no legs, nocturnal, no antennae. And it does not match any pictures of eunicid worms I can find.

Nope. Just a WRONG example I was throwing out there to look at in a hitchhiker search. I think we have the answer now

yeah, I've got some GSP on a piece of LR about the size of two fists that I got from BobZ..

at night the same thing happens, it looks like anchor lines come out from the rock and stretch out to the adjoining rock and sand..

it's just feeling around for sH*t to eat..
