My green bubble tip anenome recently split, which I now think is due to stress. For the past week or two both anenomes stay shriveled up throughout the day and have their mouth gaping open, however at night both anenomes open up and look great. I dont understand what is going on. My lighting is only t5 and they aren't stretching their tentacles to get more light. They aren't moving around at all either.

I recently switched to reef crystals ( previously used Red Sea Coral Pro)

Parameters:
calcium- 450
alk- 11.2
phosphates- 0

ammonia- 0
nitrite- 0
nitrate- undetectable.

( Used red sea and Salifert Test kits.)

Any clue what could be stressing these guys out?

If they split less than 2 weeks ago, then I would not worry about this. It takes time for them to heal.

BTW, do not feed them until their mouths are fully healed.

JAT...could be the lights are to bright for them after splitting...maybe try and shade them? Mike
