Just need it for a day or 2 .I'm wanting to test the par on some lights with a friend and am need of a par meter. I can leave my ipod touch for a deposit or full price of a new par meter to insure you I will return it..LMK

I have a LUX meter, don't know if that would help you much. Supposedly there is a conversion that you can do to figure out an approx. reading of your par.

No unfortunately they are unrelated measurements.

That's the impression I was under. Wishful thinking + rumor. Quantum meters aren't cheap!!!
