any suggestions

I over feed alot of times he has been doing well for a while sorry for any bad ideas. It's something that works for me

Snails are great and I like the job they do I was looking for maybe a small gobbie or something with more movement and color . Thanks for the advice . Happy Reefing to all. Thanks Curtis

How about a watchman pistol pair? Between the pistol and goby there would be plenty of sand sifting going on.

That's an excellent idea. Although in a 12 gallon, I'd say go with a smaller goby and shrimp, like the banded goby or yasha goby, the latter being my favorite!

how deep should my sb be? it is about 3" now is that good or do I need more or less sb . do you have a pair?:)

That should be fine, just make sure your rock is touching the bottom glass as the shrimp goby is going to be tunneling all over the place. I love my shrimp/goby pair. Its a very cool symbiotic relationship, but my shrimp has tunnels spanning my entire 90 gallon so I'm glad my rocks were put on the glass.

I was thinking I would put some plexie rods on the bottom of the LR . SO the LR shouldn't be a problem . what do ya think?

Eh.. thats probably overkill in a JBJ 12. I never bothered with it in my NC12DX. I'd just get them on the bottom glass and put the sand in and you should be good. Up to you of course.

If you have rock stability with the tank empty and the rock on the bottom glass, any burrowing activity won't matter.

You guys rock,Thanks folks .I will take your advise rods for the LR is alot more work as well .right now I have just a small cuc 5 blue leg hc,and 5 snails. and 8lbs LR,3" SB. tank has been running for about 4-5 months. with some softies not much .

nope, they are too small for even my 55G. I know they are reef safe and docile. mind their own business and sift sand.

they aren't bad looking for a goby either.

Not sure if it helps or not but I have a Diamond Goby in my 210, he is pretty large, about 6-7" and sifts sand like a machine. my sandbed looks different every hour lol...but clean

I like the twinspot too
