Any updates on the ATI T5/LED Combo...

Don't when it'd release. But you can look at this combo

I sent an email to ati. They said in the next couple of months.

I emailed them asking about a ballpark price for the 36" 4 bulb. Around $1200 was the response. Honestly thought it was going to be more. They're going to email me when they have a release date.

Here's the latest from them. Looks like they're getting closer to release here. Apparantly, they're already release in Europe.

$3200 USD for a 5' module. Ouch... Guess I'll stick with my trusty MM's for now.

Back in the good ole days when 1 AUD = .67 USD I might have swung it, but not at +$3k

It's here!!

Placing a preorder in the AM. I'm pretty stoked about this light!

WANT!!! Wow... Gotta see how taxes go and put this in line with a new S&W Shield, extra Vortech, and a new macbook pro...

What's the justification on this price? I'm just curious.

There are so many LED systems out there, especially foreign and cheap, that have controllers and different lensing options. I just look at the cost and putting LED's into a T5 "bulb" as a why kind of moment. I mean I'd be up for a $50 LED T5 bulb in a store to swap out for my 3 T5's I have just for kicks so I wouldn't have to replace it again. But why come out with a fixture using a BULB and putting LED's in them in comparison to the much smaller footprint of the LED fixtures designed by others?

I have 2 Eshine LED fixtures that give me 600w. And they cost hundreds, not thousands. Easy to pop out. Small footprint.

LED's are a dirt cheap technology. Same when it comes to their addition to the TV market. Yet we are paying, as stated, enough to file for divorce over to get them.

IDK.... I'm just a froogle turd.

I tell you what. For half the difference in price, I'll sell you some Chinese made LED's and back them with a 3 year warranty myself!
