anyone affected by the storms

Just thought I would check and see if anyone needed any help from the storms last night. I live in the Dallas area and was fortunate to have missed the brunt of the storm. I know that the hardest hit area was north of me , but if anyone needs any assistance and I can help post here. I am sure there is several others that will be willing to help as well.

We had one small tree down, but nothing big. I'm in if any other members need help.

My daughter is at Berry College (in Rome, GA) and they got slammed yesterday morning and again last night with this weather.

18 large trees fell on campus; one fell on an SUV. Luckily no one was hurt.

Berry cancelled class yesterday ~ noon.

Today classes were delayed 2 hrs due to no power on campus. ~ 1pm some power was restored to some buildings. She had an AM class sans power.

While in her 1st class yesterday morning, her Prof got a call during class to go home since 2 trees had fallen on his house! One smashed through the dining room and the other into the living room. His dog was fine, but his cat is missing.

One thing that was amazing to me was that, since the college's internet and email system was down, the school texted all of the faculty and all the students about the school cancellation and delayed openings to keep everyone informed. Pretty cool.

Glad you chimed in... haven't seen you on in a long time. You and ericmcj are the only two in the area, right?

I'm glad that you are ok. I am in Pennsylvania until friday evening, but am willing (wanting) to help with anything you or others might need.

Please tell Dr. Becky, Tracy and everyone else at Floyd we are keeping ya'll in our thoughts and prayers.

It missed my house buy just barely however half my tank inhabitants are now dead due to power loss and moving fish and corals. Beccamc10 now has my tank and tending to it best as possible
