PM me some more details of what you are looking for. Style, wood, stain, etc

Hey guys... I forgot everyone would be off today for the 4th. So I'm going to have to get the quotes to you guys tomorrow (Tuesday July 5th)

Sorry I should of thought about that earlier... =/

Grouper Therapy is the best stand builder I know on here. Haven't seen him on in a few days so he could off on a job site.

Have you thought about going to a cabinet builder for kitchens/bath? I know of one that advertises on CL and I think they are down in Buckhead that sells monster cabinets for a ridiculously low price. Just search for "kitchen cabinets" on CL or you might try "vanity".

First, yes grouper therapy does amazing work.

Second, do not use vanities or kitchen cabinets for tank stands. They are not designed for the loads and are made of crappy plywood and pressed fiberboard that will swell and break when they get wet.

Will send both of you guys PMs a little bit later this afternoon/evening. Couldn't get a hold of the builder at first... turns out he was out until Tuesday for 4th of July. Sorry been super crazy at the store this week trying to get ready for the BBQ.

I think Jeff was just mentioning to use those as key words to search for a cabinet builder on craigslist, not that he insinuated to use a basic cabinet or vanity for a tank stand.

To the OP and others trying to get a quote, you will not get a quick turn around with custom built anything in this hobby (usually).

Just putting it out there...

I see so many people who try and rush this stuff and expect to have quotes in a day and a stand built in a week. It just does not work like that. Usually, you can expect most custom builds to take 4-6 weeks on average. Just be patient and work with your builder so that you get a quality stand, exactly the way you want it. These guys get asked to build stands or provide quotes all the time, and in a lot of cases, it does not turn into work. They waste their energy and time for nothing. There is a reason that there are not a lot of builders out there... We need to treat the ones that we do have with respect and understanding.
