Anyone dealt with Hydor?

I have. So far mixed reviews on them.

I got a used skimmer by Hydor for my nano tank. I needed to replace some parts on it so I decided to email them.

I sent them an email asking how much the parts were and could I order them from them. About a week later they sent an email back asking what I needed....I kind of laughed because I already told them what I needed. So I sent what I needed, again. Another week passed and I got another email asking for my address and that they would send the parts...it's not that easy and they aren't that nice are they? I guess so! I sent them my address. 10 minutes later another email saying that I can't order parts from them and I needed to go through a retailer. Lol...what?

They got another email asking what the heck from me. Waiting on a response... probably be a week. Lol.

That's odd. Usually they're pretty easy to deal with.

I know there have been some industry trade shows recently and reps have been on the road, maybe you had more than one person answering you.

What parts do you need? I can see if my distributor carries them. Just PM me.

I had some koralia evolutions break the front covers. I emailed them to see if I could buy just the covers. They sent two replacements for each one. No questions asked. Free of charge. They even covered the shipping.

No problem from me when I needed an impeller for a pump. They sent it right out.

I contacted then twice via email in the past 6 minths. I got responses within 1 business day each when my Koralia face plates broke 3 times. The second time the send the new and proved face plates that are much sturdier. Unfortunately that powerhead is only used for my mixing station now.

I did receive another email from them last night. They are sending me the parts I need...for free as well. That's crazy! They get an A+ in my book!

Yeah they are great. I had an issue with 2 faceplates for evolutions and they sent them quickly for free also. Had them like 3 days after the email. Great company!

I also got two sets for my two evos that broke faceplates, responded within a day asking for an address; all free of charge.
