Anyone doing or wanting to do a group buy from Bulk Reef Supply?

Yup, this is how it goes. After the group buy you get moved to the preferred reefer, which is a discount, but not as big of one you get with a group buy.

There may be a time limit. I thought it was permanent, but I jsut opened two BRS Windows, and logged in on one and out on another, and I didn't see any differences in prices.

Hey Doc - you think we can get a price break from a sponsor if we put our heads together on a decent size DA order? yours alone is about $250+, mine about $225 I could use 2-PC4 and a double floatswitch kit w/mount,maybe something else. Tim has the best prices around on DA products right now...suppose to see him later today to get my Powerbuy Items. PM me if you want to get together on this

I would much rather keep it local and support a sponsor over some online company any day of the week..

Aug - if you want an RKE i beleive Tim has the best price i have seen on them - even better than online. if you, me, and Doc get together we would have over $1000 DA order and should get maybe a little discount somewhere....thoughts?

I would love to have a set group buy with BRS every four months (Apr/Aug/Dec) This is when I run out of my 2 part & RO/Di Cart. The price that Tim gave us on the RKE was good and we didn't have to wait. The moon lights are wonderful! We have them set to follow the moon phases. He keeps the RK units in stock.

The BRS group orders get shipped to the individual. The only "group" part of the transaction is getting a group of people to order at one time.

The discounts are best on things like chemicals and filters. The discounts IIRC on controllers and other MAP products are small or zero :unsure:

BRS supply is located in MN near where I used to live. While not local to you guys down here, Ryan is a standup guy that built a tiny web business into what it is today. He is the perfect example of a guy who liked aquariums and tried and managed to make a living out of it. I remember attending a local MN club meeting at his house when his website sold only reefchili and maxi-mod parts...and he was working two other jobs to pay for life.

yes indeed, i am looking for more interest in another thread atm. Tim has the best prices on DA products from what ive seen - better than online...
