Anyone go lightless for a day?

I do it about once a month. THe corals seem happier the next day.

Or you could just get that $3000 dollar Geissemann light.

It says it does clouds, moon cycle, and windows. lol. For that price it better do water changes too!

I use to have a light controller that had cloud simulation mode on it. It would turn the lights on and off randomly and for different periods of time. I've read through some of those posts and think that there maybe something to do this. Although I don't currently do it myself. I've read where some leave the lights off for several days.

I may give it a shot and see what happens.

Profilux controller has a setting. One of the guys from Cherrycorals.com had a video on youtube.
