thinking of getting a overflow box and sump for my 75gal. currently using a hang on remora pro skimmer and a canister system. looking to get some feedback on what is a good overflow box and what one to stay away from. thanks :D

I'm SKEERED! LOL I am kinda new to reef keeping (about 3yrs) and have no idea how to check if the glass can be drilled. can you tell me how to check it? and are you suggesting it be drilled from the bottom? since the tank is already set up would that make it a major project? thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

When I use to use one, I always had CRP with the aqualifter. Search around for best price....also contact a few LFS, they may be able to get them for you at a good deal!

With a already set up tank, It would be quite an undertaking. I don't use overflow boxes (they scare me), but from what I've heard, the U-tube style from Lifereef and Eshopps seem like the best idea

You could use an overflow box successfully, or you could have a disaster. The uncertainty is why I would recommend biting the bullet and getting yourself a drilled tank if you don't want to/can't drill your own.

Used RR 75s can be purchased really inexpensively here on the FS Forum or even on Craigslist, and new ones are not too bad.

I got my first drilled tank in 1993, and I would not own anything else. You eliminate a huge chance of leakage with a drilled overflow.

That sums it up pretty well. My wife is pretty tolerant of my hobbies..........but if I flood the new floors, I'm quite sure all the reeftanks go bye-bye.
