I have a Reef Octo Varios 6 Return Pump and an Apex A2. The float switch I have has 2 floats, one is connected to the Return pump and if that drops it turns the pump off and it is working correctly. I would like to hook the cable from the other float to my Apex to control one of the outlets on my EB 832 to turn on and off where my ATO pump is plugged in. Do I get a breakout box to accomplish this? Is there a different way to do this? I am pretty new to the Apex

The float is not connected to the Apex for the return pump it goes directly to the return pump controller, I am assuming it came with the pump. The return pump is plugged in to the EB 832 for feed cycles. I just want to connect the 2nd side of the float valve to the Apex to control the ATO pump

Have you gone on the Neptune forums? I just googled and found the following:

2 floats with 2 separate cables. They are mounted on one bracket and setup to allow for ATO with a failsafe for the return pump so that if the ATO was to fail the return pump will shut off so it can't run dry
