Have a couple questions about Aptasia.

First: I noticed a small one last night. It was on the bitten of one branch of a candy cane. I am in the middle of a work related project that is demanding every waking minute for the next few days. How fast do they reproduce?

Second: do they move around? It is on the same branch of the candy cane but in a different spot from where it was last night.

At first I thought I was crazy but then remembered that anemones walk around. That is what made me ask.

I got one that chills in one spot then I have another that moves around a lot lol. I could nuke em but I want a wand to electrocute em

Just keep in mind if you haven't added anything for awhile and you see one small one, he probably came from somewhere. They grow pretty fast (weeks). I don't expect to ever be rid of them, but I do make sure to keep them under control.

anemones due walk, but for some reason these these guys just love to stay put. I think because they are more tolarent then other anemones. The BAD thing is that they grow and spread VERY fast. If you or anything bothers it then it will throw 'seeds' and before you know if you have alot more growing all over your tank.
Best options -
1)Aptasia X - worth the cost. Easy to use and comes with two needles. (straight and bent) The aptasia think it is food and stay out.
2) Joes Juice, Hot water ..ect.. Also work, but you must inject it into the stalk. Hard to do if it can shrink itself back into a hole.
3) Pepermint shrimp - 50/50 chance they will eat it. Some people have better luck when they cut the flow for a little while.
4) nudibranch - They will eat it, but they cost alot of money.

I have Aptasia X from months ago. Not long after setting up the tank I had a small one show up on some rock. Nuked him and didn't see anything else for several months. Then a week ago I noticed on on the rock my new scolly is attached to. I hit him with Super Glue Gel because I didn't want bother the scolly. Now, this one in on a candy cane. Can't remove it or the rock so the super glue isn't going to work well. May go with the Aptasia X this time and hope I don't get any on the candy cane.
