Just got a TurboFlotor multi SL 1000 and have it all setup. Only problem is that I get a lot of wet foam and it fills up the collection cup within minutes. I would just stand there and watch if fill up. Its getting depressing....

Is it new? You can adjust the water level with the 2 "caps" on the output. Make sure those are wide open.

Well I gave AquaMedic a call and they told me that I really don't have any options. The person I spoke with said that when he started his, he just took the collection cup off and let it run for a day. I had a old sea clone and took the air adjustment value and used that. So far its not over flowing. Hopefully I will have everything running correctly in a few days.
beccamc10- Are you using the Rmora pro hang on?

Do you know if anyone would be interested in one? I am selling it for $100. It has a drain port in the collection cup.

Dangit....I had a T1000 at one time. The guys over at Aquamedic where quite helpful when I talked to them. There should be a cap on each of the outputs....in mine...I just took those off for a little while and let it "break-in" for about a week. After that, it ran fine.

Do you use Stress Coat? Those skimmers run fairly well once broken in. Are you using the tall neck or the short one?

I have those two things too. Water won't shoot out if you take them out? how long did it take for yours to break in?

I don't use any stress coat and I use the longer neck.

It didn't shoot out on mine because it's a recirc skimmer depending on the inlet pressure to keep it going. I had a ball valve on the inlet side to help control that. I'd say it took a couple of weeks for it to finally settle in. I only kept it running for about a month before selling it. It's a monster skimmer and was way to much for my tank.

Well from the time that you had it was it doing its job? I haven't heard of anything bad about this skimmer. A lot of ARC members tell me that its to small for my tank.

What size tank are you using it on and what are you planning to keep in the tank? The Multi is a great little versatile skimmer but it is limited by it's size.

I just noticed that you have the Multi. I had the full size T1000. It was on a 92 corner and worked great. Just to big. It took up almost half of my 24" sump which left me no room for anything else. Yes, I ran it in sump because I'm just not trusting enough yet to out-of-sump even if it says you can.

Don't give up on it. Mine worked well and I eventually purchased the 1000's BABY brother for my larger system.
