Similarly, do not cut-and-paste lengthy messages from other websites or lists. If you want to use a lengthy article elsewhere as the basis of discussion, link to it, quoting a paragraph or two for context. It is permissible to link to images hosted on your own site, but it is generally a poor idea to link to remote images without permission from the remote site owner. If the owner replaces the image without your knowledge, your post could inadvertently become very inappropriate.
If you see an offensive post, don't reply, but report it to one of the Moderators, and we will take care of it properly. Don't make the problem even bigger by adding to a flame war.
Posts that will be edited, deleted, or get you banned:
Posts containing offensive racial, gender, sexual preference, religious, political, or nationality-bashing language.
Any post containing language that is offensive in a public family context.
Impersonation of others, including the registration of more than one userID.
Links to inappropriate content areas.
Personal attacks on other posters or club members or inflammatory messages posted with intent to provoke emotional responses.
Discussion of illegal activities, how to perform illegal acts, or anything related to the dissemination of unlawful information.
Repeated posting of similar messages, and "bumping" a topic more than once.
Posts promoting a specific retailer not in the appropriate forum.
Posting of personal or private issues between two or more members.
Any post that violates the letter or spirit of any item described in these guidelines or in any announcement posted by a board directors or moderator.
It is up to the Board of Directors and Moderators to interpret the intent of each post. The ARC reserves the right to disable the board, limit access to the board, ban users, and delete or edit topics and posts at the discretion of volunteer moderators.
