This one spends about 90% of the time in this spot. The other one spends about 50% of his time in front of this rock under the ledge. Are they hosting it?

It's possible, i've seen them most many more things then just anemones. Is there anything that harasses it make it stay back there?

Happy New Year!

Clowns are funny little critters aren't they? Mine sleep alongside the overflow box every night.

Mine flutter around in the frogspawn. Thats a little more realistic.

But a rock?!

Sounds like they might be claiming a spot to lay eggs. Are they a mated pair? Mine have an anenome that they host but they spent weeks around a rock before they finally decided to lay their eggs there.

I got them 5 months ago so I am not sure if the are a mated pair yet or not. LOL. Could be getting ready to lay I guess. A month or so ago one was fanning the sand in front of this rock.

odd question :) Did you check behind the rock to see if anything was there? (aiptasia ?)

Hard to see very well back there but from what I can tell there is nothing. There are a couple of small feather dusters under cover of the tope rock kind of located between the front and the back. Other than that, I don't see anything living back there.

Mine hang out in my rock as well. Smaller one in the tunnel, bigger one in front of. Occasionally my goby will perch in roughly the same spot and then the small clown goes somewhere else. At night they both hangout out either near the return or near the top grate of the overflow. So back right or back left in my biocube.
