I have several large turbo snails and they are always on my clove polys and it looks like they are just mowing them down. Is it my imagination or will snails harm the polys? Thanks for your info.

I have never seen one eat a coral. The just move loose frags around aside from their primary function IME.

The polyps should reopen after the snail moves - the biggest problem with the turbos is that they can knock over frags and colonies. In doing so, can also result in avalanches if aquascape is not stable.

I have some blue legs / red legs and several astrea snails but I've lost several frags in past due to turbo snails because there clumsy and just climb right over coral

I had two MASSIVE ones once in a 46 bow front. They were bulldozers.

I had 2 one bit the dust the other i got tired of it knocking over stuff so i put him in the sump. He did not fair well cleaning the mag5 :-)

I had 3 MTS - Bo, Emelio, & Estivez - cleared up a little HA I had and unfortunately the hermits (or something) attacked and they are no more . It wasnt from a shortage of food, thats for sure...
