Can someone please tell me is there anyway to get rid of these without getting a harlequin shrimp I'm picking 30 a day out of my tank

Can someone please tell me is there anyway to get rid of these without getting a harlequin shrimp I'm picking 30 a day out of my tank

they survived a 5 day power outage that killed all of my fish, caused an ammonia spike and a salinity spike that killed every other living organism except some bristleworms, 3 LPS corals and a one type of palyzoa, so I'm going to go with no.

I have used your method of plucking them out with good result in the past.

I also used harlequin shrimp to eradicate the asterina starfishes but feeding the harlequin shrimp afterward was a pain. So to save money and time, I sold the harlequin shrimp. I still have asterina starfish but very few here and there.

You probably want to continue plucking them out of the tank until their population is reduced drastically. Then, it’s just few here and there from time to time. Least for me.
