I lose a gallon a day in the winter and up to 2 the other 9 months of the year. I am planing on placing a 14G glass aquarium within 4 to 6 inches of my sump to serve as my MU H20 reservoir. What to you guys/gals think?

Thank you! I can't drill either sump.

I have a JBJ ATO and have been real impressed with it. I have a used 10 gallon tank that I us for a holding tank for fresh H2O and a $20 pump I picked up at Lowes in the garden section. So far so good. Fill it up once a week.
An ATO is one of those things you REALLY appreciate having after you have been topping off manually for a while.

LOL! I went for 4 years. It was one of the best Christmas presents I ever got.

please dont let me go that long... i'll be getting one as soon as I can get it ordered lol

3 years doing this and I bought a JBJ ATO about 6 months ago...I dont know how I ever did without it! Of course Im forgetful AND lazy :)

Yeah it was kind of fun for a while...but the novelty wears off real fast. Fortunately, I am married to a saint who doesn't yell at me when I wet the hardwoods and carpet. I don't drink or smoke, so I guess there are worse vices out ther. I am going to see if I could squeeze a 15g underneath. I would to see your pics, Thansk!

I use a Tunze Osmolator and love it. Works flawlessly. Not cheap, but nice. As I understand it, the Osmolator has been updated with a new magnetic mounting system for the sensor. Sounds like a good idea.

O really? They finally came out with it? I think I'll have to get me that one.. I was gonna go with a JBJ but not if they have the magnetic one out. Heard they were having problems with the sensor and the magnet being so close. Which is why they delayed it a while.

I use a 5 gal bucket, pinpoint ph controller, and a float switch with a solenoid and pump.

+1 I bought a Tunze back in December, and it has been AWESOME... it has the magnetic mounting system and could not be easier to setup. Tough a touch expensive, it is well worth the money for a good top off system!
