I currently have a Diamond Goby in my 120G and an Aurora Goby in my QT that I would like to pair up with a Candy Striped Pistol Shrimp and then put them in the 120G. Will the two gobys be ok with each other? Has anyone kept both in a similar sized tank?

I've had a diamond in smaller tanks with other gobies (granted not an aurora) and never had issues. My list includes a 2-spot goby, various clown gobies, engineer, and watchman. I assume the aurora and watchman would have similar personality traits.

I don't think diamonds care about anything.

I had a small tiger pistol shrimp and a small yellow watchman in my 75g. I put a diamond goby in about 6 weeks after I got the pair and he dug them out of their home twice, they split up and i saved the watchman, he was being chased all over the tank by my diamond, I have not seen my pistol shrimp. I put the watchman in my frag tank and got him another pistol shrimp. My diamond goby (Diamond Jim) is very large and I think that was part of the problem. If I could do it over I would have let the pistol and YWG goby grow to adult size and then put a very small diamond goby in. You live and learn! Bud, I believe you've see Diamond Jim.

How big were the diamond and watchman goby? My aurora is just a little smaller than the diamond so hopefully it won't be a problem.

Luckily, my yellow and regal tangs didn't even look at the diamond goby when I added him to the tank. The bicolored blenny chased him a couple of times but that was only the first day. The two yellow coris wrasses have learned that they can hover at the head of the diamond goby and catch prey that the goby uncovers with every mouthful of sand he takes in.

Ha! That thing is a monster and could take on just about anything he wants.
