I would like to get an autofeeder for my 300g. Can anyone recommend one? The glass is 3/4" if it matters in installation.

I bought an Eheim based on other peoples' reviews here and it has been great. It even went for a saltwater swim the other day and still works.

It doesn't attach to the glass, but sits on a horizontal surface like a center brace. It has enough weight to stay put unless you hit it while working... cough, cough

Barry, is that this one?

+5 However, mine hit the water ever so briefly and never worked again. Great product, but not even water resistant. Only con I've found.

The Eheim ones are good for an inexpensive feeder. May favorite is the 2-3 times the price..can't remember the name right now..

Stacy. I have a brand new in box Eheim one if you want to buy it, pulled it out once and put some flakes in there and then decided to just manually feed my small tank so right back in the box it went, lol. $20

I have the same one and have it attached to the side with the clamp that came with it, however I've only tried to feed with flakes and that doesn't work too well.

Same one I bought. Went away on vacation for a week and didnt even worry about the fish getting fed. Its a nice tool, mine came with a velcro that enabled me to keep it on the brace if need be.

Is it the one in the picture above? If so, I may take it. :)

Those of you that say it works great, what type of food are you using? I've only tried flakes and it is very inconsistent due to the varying flake pieces. I'm sure it would work great as long as the food is consistent in size.

Bud - I use it with Otohime and pellets, works great for that.

Stacy - I have the Eheim in the pic above - bought brand new and used it for a little bit and stored it - I dont have enough fish to eat all that I was putting in so I was fouling up my water pretty bad. Make me an offer and Ill bring it to the frag swap.

I use flakes but do need to break them up into smaller, but not fine, pieces. I use this same feeder and am happy with it. However I would consider changing to one my Apex could control.
