Bought a shutoff kit to add to my BRS RO/DI. Question though. In their install video they show all of this on an RO set-up. So, if you add this to a system with a DI chamber, will the water back-up through the DI chamber before it gets back to the shut-off valve? If that is the case, is the DI chamber capable of handling that added pressure?

Just my stupid, fearful-based opinion, I don't rust them unless installed my DT is in a basement with a floor drain. I do love the idea though. I woudl like to hear what others think.

I installed it with a DI. I'm not sure. I thought the shutoff was from the source waterline, hence cutting off everything. One note however, silicone around the hole where you installed the float because water comes up to that point and will leak out. Which reminds me - I have some water to clean up. I just installed mine last night.

Pics?

I'm not sure exactly how you have it installed. If it's simply cuting off the output of the RO/DI system, the pressure shouldn't be an issue.

However, I've been told if you do it like that with the supply to the RO/DI on, it will run water out the waste tube. Could you verify this as true?
