Baby Banghaii Cardinals-what to feed?

I have a couple Banghaiis in my 300 gallon. Merkeywater pointed out to me that one was holding babies. A couple weeks later I found a baby in my sump, and two in an overflow. I pulled them out and they are in my 24" x 24" x 12" refugium/frag tank/macro algae tank/whatever tank. They are about 1/4"-1/3" long, and seem to be hitting on crushed up flake. They are the only fish in the tank, in addition to a couple long spined urchins. Not a breeder, so what should I be feeding these three little guys? maybe Cyclop-eeze? There seems to be a healthy pod population in this tank, so I thought that would be helpful to them as well.

I am kinda worried, as I have about six BTAs in this tank. Are they a danger to these 'lil guys? Cute little things.

just read an article in "fish mag " yes they are. But I dont know if their in danger .

they should be fine with the nems. newly hatched brine shrimp is the first food. i haven't seen them eat anything processed the first month.

Fresh hatched brine, live black worms if they will go after flakes you can try spectrum they make a pellet smaller then puragen beads that should not be to big for them the bottle has fire fish on it makes a great coral food also
I wouldent worry about them and the nems if there still alive the nems probly won't eat them
But your lps , dunken acan wellso and especially that meat coral you may wan't to move him

That's awesome Dave hope you get them to live. Like James said baby brine is the way to go. But maybe the cyclopeeze will work to it is super tiny food.

Must be the time for Banghaii, my male is holding as well! I was told Cyclopeeze would be a good choice, but I am not a breeder either. My two Banghaiis love my sebae nem.

Just wanted to give you an update on the three little ones. They are being fed one pinch of crushed flake food by me every day, but I see them hitting on pods in the refugium/macro tank. So I think a nicely populated refugium is a good place to keep them. The guys are probably just under 3/4" in length. Maybe doubled in size. Pic below. Sorry for the poor quality pic.

So cool. I noticed Jaycen mentioned earelier that his male was holding. Couple days ago he called me to tell me that he now has 27 babies. I think he said 27. LOL So cool. I don't think I would be ready to get into the whole breeding thing but man it would be fun to have a few to raise that came from your own tank.

27 Banghaiis is worth some scratch. One of the three I have made it past two 7" 100 micron filter socks, and my in-sump skimmer, so he deserves a break!

If these guys live, they'll go in my 465 gallon when I get it set up.

Awesome Dave. When I had breeding set of Bangaii's, I found a 1" bangaii living in one of my overflows. He/she found enough to eat just on what was floating around in the tank! (not suggesting that approach. however!)
