I would not use Metronidazole in the water column. It would take an enourmous amount to be anywhere close to effective. Just use it with Focus in the food.

Metro. And focus in the food seems to help half the time. I have a 5 or 6 inch hippo that comes down with ick about every 3 months fights it off and doesn't seem to phase it. None of the other tangs ever seem to get it. UV's suck for ick control, like mentioned they have to run super slow and it still doesn't seem to help. If you were going to run fallow it needs to be for 5-6 weeks not just 23 days. Hypo can work IF done right, a lot of times though if it is advanced to the point of super infestation hypo will prove to be detamental to the fish. More so then the parasite.. Atleast IMO
