I think I used to be a member of this club but it's been so long I've forgotten for sure.

I just got back into it, starting a 20H Nano tank. It's a few weeks old and all I've got so far in it are a couple of snails and hermits and a GSP frag.

Here are some pics....

Bought the tank and stand off of Craigs List. Guy had a Freshwater tank going

Used my Aquafuge2 Medium from a long time ago to hang on the back.

Live Rock from Aquarium Arts in California

Threw the rock in didn't really scape it

Cleared up a bit

I moved the heater and thermo and the Koralia 1 on the left to clean up that side of the tank

Glad to see you back at it! Try dropping your heaters in your hob fuge if they fit....would clean up the tank a bit...but that's up to you :) Can't wait to see how this build goes!

So here's what I have now and here is what I still want.

20 gallon glass high tank
CPR Fuge2 Medium
100w heater in the fuge
Coralia 96W Quad 50/50 hood
18w 50/50 on the Fuge
25 pounds of LR
20 pounds of LS
2 Korlia 1's

I still need:

Moonlight
Refractometer
ATO system
Light timer
CHAETO (badly, my fuge is dead and boring)
GFCI outlet (gonna have to get my neighbor to install that)
More CUC

I did (it barely fit). I'll post a new FTS in a sec. I moved the Rio400 out too and replaced it with another korlia 1. I'll use the Rio for mixing.

Awesome!

I'm still trying to figure out the flow. The GSP wasn't getting any at all so I pointed that Koralia on the left down towards the front of the glass and it's getting decent flow now.

I have the other one on the lower right but I'm thinking I need to move it up.

Ah one other thing I'm having a problem with...

I want to be able to run filter floss, chemi pure, and purigen somewhere but there is no one place in the Aquafuge2 that the flow is forced through. It's really wide open. I've talked to several custom media basket makers at nano-reefs.com but we couldn't really figure out what to do.

Any ideas?

Ahhh yes, much better! Unfortunately flow is the worst of things to figure out. I'm always moving my PH's around to make everything happy in the tank.

What about making the K point more towards the glass? It should travel the glass all of the way around. Looks like right now the rocks would be interferring with the overall flow with the way its pointing. IMO

And....welcome back to the hobby. Nice set up.

I use to run a bag of purgen in my ac500 wanna be fuge...sure it's not the best option, but it did work. You could always get or make a little reactor, similar to the two little fishes GFO reactor. People have been making those out of RO canisters. Just attatch a small PH to it and drop that in the fuge (one of the bubble diffuser areas) run a hose to the reactor and the out of that back to the fuge or in the tank. The two little fishies reactor is hob too....might be an option??

Yeah I think I might move that one on the bottom right to the upper front right or upper back right and mess with it's angle a bit. I'll do that tonight.

Thanks!

Could I run it through this?

I used that same filter for a 6 gal nano and it worked great.

That would have been good info for when I set mine up....:shout:

Great coral, but once it gets on rocks, it's all over! Grows like a weed and sticks like hair algae. I've always wanted a BB take with gsp all over the bottom...but it'd be impossible to keep off the rocks.
