Ok. Any easy way to extract a pygmy angel from a reef tank due to coral nibbling without taking half the tank apart?

Wish I knew what to tell you... I've been lucky that my flame angel is good, otherwise I'd have torn my rockwork apart long ago. You might try a fish trap, but I never had any luck catching anything other than my cleaner shrimp.

You should probably be able to catch him in a fish trap. What size tank? I have a trap you could borrow and I am in Marietta. Only problem is I am out of town until Saturday but u are welcome to come by and pick it up on the weekend if u want to try it

Thanks Bob, it's a 150. Way too much rock to pull out if i can avaoid it. Beautiful lemon peel angel, but it is picking on acan, zoas and frogspawn. She must come out. I may borrow to see if I can get lucky and catch it.:confused2:

patients is key with a fish trap, i usually let it sit in the tank for a day or so before i try to catch the fish. Also, when it is in i only feed directlly into the trap and then stand right next to it and watch them enter and exit, to trick them into feeling comfortable. then one day the door closes behind them and they are gone!

This should work. I've had to chase my fish out Of the trap most times when trying to catch a specific one. Pm me your number and we can find a time to hook up
