Baked Baking Soda??

I am going to start using sodium carbonate(baked baking soda) to dose my tank with but just to be sure, I used the reef calculator on bulk reef supply for the alkalinity. Just making sure that the sodium carbonate they sell is about the same as if I baked some baking soda.
