Ballast Repair?

I have 2 Icecap ballasts (1 MH and 1 VHO) and they are both not working. Is there anyone around thy can repair these or are they not worth repairing?

Coralvue will repair the VHO ballast for $60 plus s&h. If the board is beyond repair they can replace it for $90. They don't mention MH ballast repair at all.

Can't get VHO lamps anymore...

Sometimes in the VHO ballast it's just a fuse, I forget what "size" but I've got fuses at Autozone after a call to Icecap (when they existed) to find out what type.

Not sure about the MH... but I can get you a MH ballast without the case for cheap. We had a PFO ballast blow up a while back and we were able to buy new guts for it relatively inexpensively. Just popped it into the PFO case/heat sink and we were good to go.

I pulled the fuse but its not blown. That's about the extent of my troubleshooting.

Yep on the MH.

FWIW-
That florescent ballast will run most types of fluorescent lamps.

Yep, including overdriving T5 lamps!
