Bare bottom sump CUC

What do you recommend as a cleanup crew in a bare bottom sump?

Ok I'm new to this what do you mean bare bottom sump. Do people put LS or LR in sump ?? I have a skimmer and a bag with carbon am a bag with matrix in it in the sump. Is this what u mean or is this right ??

I've only ever seen bare bottom sumps as well. Generally detrius settles down there and it's a great place to do your water changes from if you can manage it. Any snails or crabs would be in danger of being sucked into pumps, I would think.

If you're referring to a fuge, a few snails and maybe a hermit or two is all you would want at the most.
