I remember much discussion on these. Was it determined that they are safe to use on acrylic?

Thank you!

A friend who has acrylic tanks always recommends these for cleaning acrylic. My tanks are all glass, but I use them on my tanks and love them.

Best part is, the Dollar General here carries them, so they're cheap!

Folks have been using them on their acrylic tanks without issues being reported. They are safe to use on acrylic, and over time will make small scratches on surfaces they are used on less noticeable.

Just make sure you use the original Magic Eraser, as they come with additives on some variants now. It is made from melamine foam, I believe.

These are awesome . I use on acrylic and glass.

I was at one of our sponsors and they recommended and used the Dobie on their acrylic display tank. It was impressive how well it worked. Does any one know why it says, "Not for aquarium use" on the package?

As you can see from the box, it's a 3M product. Here's their number for those interested: 1-800-846-8887. Maybe the warning is there not because of the product's chemical properties, but for its propensity to pick-up sand, detrius etc, and scatch the glass/acrylic. I don't know, but their warning is good enough for me. Thanks!
