BB Biocube?

anyone here running a BB biocube? ive been thinking about running my next one BB but the biocubes have a black styrofoam pad between the bottom glass and the black plastic bottom. they were also nice enough to put a silver sticker on the black pad were it passed inspection or something i suppose. and if not BB, do you guys like the black sand? i have more than enough to do the cube with, sitting in my basement, but have never personally used it.

I really like the biocube. I have the 29 gallon and loved it. I am not a huge fan of any other sand than live sand, with just that natural color. But everybody is a little bit different, and its your tank. So if you like the look of black sand, I say go for it.

i like the black, but i heard it shows detritus nicely. allitle brown funk sitting on the black... but i really want to run it bare bottom. i may even try to cover the bottom with gsp, ive been wondering what thatd look like for a while now

Totally off topic but I like your avatar. Maya Bay in the Phi Phi Islands, Thailand. I went there about 2 years ago. Beautiful place, just overrun by tourists since they filmed that movie "The Beach" there.

I almost went with black sand when I set up my 1st tank. I personally kinda like it. Does Caribsea still sell the black sand? A few years back I thought they sold live black sand. I could be wrong though.
