BB tank and LR

considering a BB tank for my 40gB build...

is it generally ok to sit the rock on top of the glass? I guess if a rock falls the tank is shallow enough that it wouldn't hit the bottom hard enough to damage it?

Seen many with bare bottom tanks, you should be ok.

Should be fine. Both my 60 cube and 40b are BB and it has never been a problem. I have seen some tanks where they used a hard plastic, like the ones used for cutting boards, on the bottom. It will absorb the shock in case of a rock fall.

A lot of folks with BB will secure the rock structure by drilling and zip ties, or acrylics Rods and epoxy, or hydraulic cement.
