To the people currently dosing carbon. Do you dose all at one time or throughout the day? Does it matter?

When I got up I put half in then when I got home from work the other half would go in. That is what works for me

I do it all at once, am.

I dose 10ml of vodka each morning at 6am. I use a doser off my Apex using a OSC command.

Depends on what you dose. If you're doing large doses of vinegar, it may be better to split it up due to the pH drop you may get.

How is the container set up? Do you just have the bottle or do you use a separate container?

I use to just run the hose right into the Vodka bottle, but I now use a container made by "Sea Side Aquatics" that I purchased from one of our sponsors "The Fish Store" They run around $35 and I also use them for holding my two part solutions in my frag system. They work great.

you just using a peristaltic pump?

I must be on the very low end of the scale. I only dose between 1.5-2.0 ml and it keeps my nitrates at 2-3ppm using a salifert tester. I put it in in the evenings when I get home from work. This is when I also manually dose my 2part.

I will be posting up week 12 pics this weekend. Going to keep a running tab on this. When you take a series of pics 4 weeks apart it is surprising the growth you get and did not even realize it

Yes sir Ralph, I use a BRS 1.1ml pump. I own four of them and they've held up pretty well for me.

Got my nitrates down to .025ppm. Changed my lighting out to oshio 14k. Since changing the lights the brown crap growing on the sand bed everyday has stopped. Changed my PH's out this week to the dual controlled wp25. Currently dosing at 2ml daily 80 proof vodka and 2 part.
