I thought Id share with everyone my grief and sadness..... just looking at my tank makes me sick to my stomach. so here is before and after pics.

His heater exploded in the sump. Probably mercury poisoning.

Glass heaters. I use the VisiTherm Stealth heaters for just that problem. That sucks man,heaters in general suck and can cause problems no matter what brand/make. Thats why Ranco controllers are the best investment along with non-glass heaters.

That really stinks. Please let me know if you'd like to restock your tank with pink xenia, finger leather, or mushrooms.

I would call the manufacturer of the heater, if it remained submerged. The worst that could happen is they say they're not liable.

get this....just spoke with the manufacturer...they said I should send them the heater and a list of the casulties and they will investigate it.
