That sucks big!

I would be concerned about the ability to house livestock in the tank going forward as well. I don't know how mercury bonds to inorganic material, but I would test the tank before I reused it.

As others have offered, I will gladly frag you off some stuff to get you restarted.

Even the plastic ones are subject to problems. The titanium ones are probably the best bet - esp. if you get a solid titanium heater on a ranco-type controller....
