Well basically I'm trying to figure out the best lighing for a 6 gallon pico. (15x10x10)
I dont want to do too much DIY. But Im thinking about going the led route.

I know I want sps and lps and inverts. I also like the 20K look.
SO... Is my best option the par38? Or could I do six, current usa, true lumens and make a fixture for them... Or should I just do a DIY route?
Its my first venture into Leds so I dont know too much. But any input helps!

Would the panorama modules be strong enough for sps? and what kind of hanging capabilities do they have?

I like the Par 38 but, Its finding a good fiture (that wont rust), Im having issues with. Suggestions?

at that size tank you would probably be fine growing anything you want, there'sa guy here that's running 2 panoramas over a RSM 35gal. Go look at Jenn's aquapod in the store, 12gal with one panorama on top mostly softies but yours will technically get 4 times more light if you go with 2 modules

SPS in a Pico?

You go girl!

Lol I've done it before :) I have five tanks under 30 gallons each one has a different inhabitants... I decided to go with a 12K Par 38 and two 460 nm true lumens. Its going to be a bad reef

Staying on top of the calcium and alkalinity in such a small volume for SPS may be a constant effort. That said, a par38 should work for your setup. I have one that I won on nano-reef recently and like it quite a bit. I am using it to cover a 9g Nanowave until I get my DIY LED light mod fine tuned.

Cool :) yeah I have 3 pico reefs... I dont find it to be difficult to manage but, then again.I have only had picos so I'm biased. lol. I am excited about the leds and testing them out. If they give good growth and color I may swich my thirty long over to leds
