I don't know if they have improved, but 4-5 years ago salifert used to have terribly inconsistent tests. I would only use salifert for Ca, Mg, and Alk. I would not use the salifert nitrate kit. I wouldn't use the API kit. I have limited experience with Elos and Red Sea. No experience with Tmarin or Lamott. I use Seachem.
