for overcoming about 14 feet of head pressure. It will be used once or twice a month for water changes to transport saltwater from my basement to my living room. Will also be used to send RODI water from my basement to my DT. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. PM if you are more comfortable doing so. Doesn't matter to me. Thank you.

Submersible would be more versatile. I see tha the Mags are. I am not a fan of the Danner products. They remind me of the Supreme line of products.

I use a Mag 12 just for that purpose and it works great. I only move the water about 8 feet straight up so a Mag 24 would work fine. If you are only going to use it a couple times a month, it should last forever.

Danner and Supreme are the same company. If you use a Mag, you can use it either internal or external. From their flow charts I would not go any smaller than a Mag 18, and probably a Mag 24 as it's head at 14 feet is 650 gph (Mag 18). Consider that rate is even less the more bends you have, and also consider it less if you use smaller than 1.5" ID pipe. Mag 24 and 36 don't have flow charts, but the Mag 24 has max head hight of 20' and the mag 36 has a 24' head height.

unless you've got one lying around.. there are MUCH more efficient/quiet pumps out there than a mag drive pump..

of course, if you can use an external pump, that would serve you best
