I got Rostato's 12g eclipse and I wanted the black sand that was in it. I put the tank in the tub and just let the water run for about 20 mins. Water became pretty clear that way. Is there anything special I need to do other then just repeating this process? This will be a future seahorse tank so I want to make sure I do things the proper way. Any help sure would be appreciated!

Nah, that should be enough, though if it was established, make sure that you allow time for a cycle as there may be some die off from the bacteria and micro-fauna that are generally present in established systems. I would set the tank up with some live rock and go through the normal cycle (dead shrimp, etc) and you should be good to go.

Cool. Thank you for that info. The tank sat outside under the portch for 3 days when it was about 40 degrees. Pretty safe to say everything that was alive is dead after that. I did find 3" bristle worm that was dead when I was cleaning the sand.

Yeah I had some huge bristle worms I cleaned out of the sand before I even gave it to you.
