I just noticed my GSP was hiding, so I knew something was wrong. Started looking around my tank and saw my Sea Hare curled up and purple stuff was leaking from it. So I took it out, now I am just waiting to make sure everything is going to be okay. I don't have any water available otherwise I would do a water change. Anybody got any suggestions?

Not sure exactly what it is but I would make sure you are running some fresh carbon. That will help absorb any pollutants.

Maybe something in the sea hare ink has them closed. I dont know much about sea hares but when I used to catch them in FL they would release that pink/purple ink everywhere. I have water you could have but I see you are far away from me :( If it were me I would do a waterchange & turn the skimmer up a bit.

I think I caught it just in time. I did turn up the skimmer since I had to attach a ball valve to keep it from over flowing. So far things look good and will be doing a water change tomorrow as soon as the lfs store is open.

I have a Spotted Hare and have had no problems with em, though he seems a bit clumsy lol. I have been told to run a carbon filter to remove the ink.

I think my tank is going to be okay. There was not that much ink and the tank looks fine. I just wished the people at the lfs told me more about the sea hare.

Here is a link if you would like to do your own research about such animals
before purchasing at the lfs. That way your tanks health is solely in your hands.
