Anyone doing the above for a smaller nano tank? I am always battling algae bubble and other kinds of algae from when I had my 11 gallon and now with my 25 gallon. Its not feasible to do a refugium. It does get better with purigen or GFO in the aquaclear hang on back filter system but looking for something a little better. I now do the water changes etc and I can ramp those up more but I am now doing 20-25% per week. Only have four small fish and a couple shrimp in the 25. Thoughts?

I am doing the TDS right. Its RO DI water with zero on back side. 40 going in. I feed small amount of flake and sometimes PE mysis. Probably feeding too often or too much. Looking for a better way to export nutrients. I was looking to see if anyone had experimented with the new products for a small tank.

I used them in my 28 Gallon back in the day. I now use them in my new setup. Anyways, I used a nano media reactor to run the pellets. You can see them at the end of this thread: http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21552&highlight=nano">http://www.atlantareefclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21552&highlight=nano</a>

Hope that helps. It can be done. You have to use a media reactor and keep them tumbling gently.

Thanks for sharing. I saw where that sapphire went out of business. I think I will try this and maybe start with some of the bio pellets on a very small scale or maybe just go with GFO. I will use an existing two little fishes reactor.
