bio pellets

Who's using them? Was considering running these over gfo. I know they are mainly for nitrates but saw where they will reduce phosphates as well. Has anyone seen this to be true?

Yeah, I've been running then for about 2 months or so. They have been doing a pretty good job of keeping levels low. No3 is under 2.5 po4 stays around .05-.03. Weekly water changes(sometimes every other week) heavy feeding, and no chaeto, or macro in my fuge. The only thing I have in there is crushed coral, matrix and three mangroves

You run BPs in a reactor. There are reactors made specifically for them as you need to modify typical media reactors to keep these things tumbling. I know Ripped started a thread that you could search that shows a modified SEA reactor for BPs.
