Biocube bubbles= driving me insane

The first few days of having the biocube it ran fine, but out the last day or so the return is making mad bubbles. Its driving me insane. At first it seemed the drip tray was the cause, so i removed it and the bubbles stopeed for a few hours then began again. there isnt a skimmer in there either... anybody have any idea what i can do about this?

Finer filter sponge in place of the stock in the 3rd chamber?

there is no sponge in the third chamber.

Is there enough water in the tank, is the water level in the rear pump chamber low?

i added like a cup of water and it stopped, but it was already where it was supposed to be lol

How far down is the water level and how far down is the pump? Pump should be sitting on the bottom. The only way it can suck air is if the pump is too high and or the water level is too low.

Thing is once you get enough micro bubbles, they seem to take a while to go away. It has happened to me before without getting low enough to suck air into the return.

I had a biocube 14 for years and did every mod you can think of to it, how are the 3 chambers set up? Dont worry about the min and max water levels that are marked on the tank. Fill it all the way up with water so the 3rd chamber where your pump is at to right under the opening that divides chamber 2 and 3. This will make the tank a lot quieter and micro-bubbles to stop.

the pump does not sit on the bottom, the connector isnt long enought i guess

what type of pump is it? When you get a chance go to Home Depot or lowes and get some tubing, cut it so it can sit on the bottom. Your pump is sucking air in and pushing it into your display area

If your tubing is not secured at th elbow, i'd zip-tie it in place.
