But... I assume you cant just "turn em off".

I dont have any real reason to take the pellets off-line. The tank is STILL doing ... meh? Some corals arent coloring up and some are fading. Seems like a few that had been using Salinity had experienced similar issues.

Current Params are:

Temp 77-78
SG - 1.026
pH - 8.20-8.30
Alk - 8.3
Cal - 460
Trates - 0 (at least thats what it looks like on the Elos test.) Maaaaaaybe 1.

The params have been within this range for a long time sooo I dont know what else to change. Lights are only four months old at this point.

I've ordered a box of RC and will be using that for my H20 changes vs the remaining salinity that I have.

Should I just reduce the volume the pellets by half and then remove the rest a month later or so? Just cut em off?

I think they've been running for... 5 months.

I put em online cuz... well... i like to feed heavily and had an extra reactor. I still like to feed well, but my corals all used to do better when I was vodka dosing.

I just watched a video about this that might help its on Reef Dynamics website. I am looking into getting a bio pellet reactor because I am also dosing my tank with Vodka. When on their website click on any of the bio pellet reactors and 2 videos will be on the page. He talks about reasons why your corals could bleach or even crash your tank if you dont run reactor in certain way. Only place I have seen this info. Maybe this will help good luck.
